iFixit Disassembled the 2017 MacBook: Also Difficult to Maintain

Foreign well-known maintenance team iFixit recently disassembled the new 2017 12-inch MacBook and 13-inch Touch Bar MacBook Pro, and said except for processor performance improvement, essentially speaking, there is no other changes. The major design adjustment is 12-inch MacBook adopts the 2nd generation Keyboardio of 2016 MacBooks, which provides more intensity feedback.

Eventually, iFixit still gave this two MacBook a score of 1 point (Full score of 10, the higher the score is, the easier the maintenance is). After the disassembling, iFixit team expressed that the new MacBook is the same design as before, with its processor, memory and built-in storage being welded to logic mainboard, and users can’t replace them. The battery is still fixed with glue, Touch Bar of Pro series goes destroyed easily in the course of disassembling, without safe ways to be removed for now.
